July: Making Hay by Hand The hay harvest was one of the most important tasks of the year, as it would sustain livestock through the long winter. It was also one of the most labor-intensive. We will demonstrate all the steps in the process, including hand-mowing with scythes! Location:   Thompson-Neely Farmstead , 1638 River Road, New Hope, PA 18938 Time:  Friday July 24th 2026, 11am – 3pm This free event is part of our Monthly Living History Series . From April through October 2026, Washington Crossing Historic Park hosts Soldier Saturdays & Farmstead Fridays. Presented in partnership with Americana Corner , these free monthly programs explore military and civilian life during the American Revolution.
